WINDOWS USERS: To improve game performance of The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime, please use the following steps to copy the game data from the DVD-ROM to your hard drive.

1) Install the Pegasus Prime Windows folder with the app onto your hard drive.
2) Open "Folder Options" in the Windows Control Panel. Under the "View" tab, click the button to show hidden files, folders, or drives.
3) Go to the Pegasus Prime DVD-ROM (called "Journeyman") and copy the "PP Data" folder into the "Pegasus Prime Windows" folder that was installed onto your hard drive in step 1.
4) Double click "Pegasus Prime.exe" to launch the game.

LINUX USERS: To improve game performance of The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime, please use the following steps to copy the game data from the DVD-ROM to your hard drive.

1) Install the Pegasus Prime app from "PegasusPrime_1.0-5_i386.deb" or "PegasusPrime_1.0-5_amd64.deb", depending on whether you are running a 32 or 64-bit Intel-compatible version of Linux, respectively.
2) Copy over the game data from the DVD-ROM. In a terminal window, the command to do this depends on where your DVD is mounted. In Ubuntu, removable media is automounted, so in Ubuntu 10, the following command is used: "sudo cp -R /media/Journeyman/PP\ Data /usr/share/PegasusPrime/PP\ Data". In Ubuntu 12, the command is: "sudo cp -R /media/[USERNAME]/Journeyman/PP\ Data /usr/share/PegasusPrime/PP\ Data".
3) Make the game data on the hard drive readable by all users with the following command in a terminal window: "sudo chmod -R a+rX /usr/share/PegasusPrime/PP\ Data".

MAC OS X USERS: To improve game performance, or for Macs that do not have built-in optical drives, please use the following steps to copy the game data from the DVD-ROM to your hard drive.

1) In Finder, from the "Go" menu choose "Go to Folder..." or use the Command-Shift-G shortcut.
2) Type "/Volumes/Journeyman/PP Data" into the prompt that appears and click "OK".
3) Drag the icon from the *title bar* of the "PP Data" window to the "Pegasus Prime OSX" folder on your hard drive.

SAVED GAME FILES are stored in the following directories:
* Linux - /home/[USERNAME]/.PegasusPrime/
* Mac OS X - /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Pegasus Prime Saves/
* WinXP - C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Pegasus Prime\Saved Games\
* WinVista/64 - C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Pegasus Prime\Saved Games\
